Automotive glass mainly includes the windshield, rear window, side windows, side mirrors, rearview mirror, and sunroof glass. These are not only essential components of a vehicle’s structure but also directly impact safety and comfort. In traditional fuel-powered vehicles, windshields and rear windows are typically made of laminated safety glass, ensuring impact resistance and clear visibility. Side windows are often produced with tempered glass, which breaks into small particles for safety. Sunroof glass emphasizes light transmission and heat insulation performance. Side mirrors and the rearview mirror, while smaller, play a crucial role in driver visibility and overall driving safety.

With the rise of new energy vehicles, the functions of automotive glass have expanded significantly. To achieve lightweight design, glass thickness is being reduced while screen printing, coating, and other processes are applied to enhance insulation and shading performance, lowering air-conditioning energy consumption and extending driving range. Windshields now integrate Head-Up Display (HUD) technology and work closely with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), supporting the needs of cameras and sensors.
